Extremity Adjustments in Belton MO
Carpal tunnel syndrome, tarsal tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow, knee pain and shoulder pain all have an important thing in common; they all can be helped with chiropractic care and extremity adjusting here in Belton MO.
COMPLIMENTARY TO SPINAL ADJUSTMENTS
Often times, poor spinal biomechanics lead to extremity problems. For example, if you have a subluxation in your cervical spine (neck), your body will adapt and alter the spine in a way that puts strain on your shoulder joint. This then causes subluxations at the elbow joint and the next thing you know you’re going to the chiropractor with severe elbow pain. The chiropractor would then need to not only adjust your elbow, but also your cervical spine.
THOROUGH ASSESSMENT
Extremity adjusting should be considered if you’re experiencing any kind of pain in the extremities. The doctor will always assess the spine first for the source of the problem; however, the doctor will also check the extremity/area of complaint for subluxation. So, for example, if you’re having elbow pain, the doctor will move the elbow joint through all it’s normal motion to try and reproduce the pain in the joint. If the doctor determines an adjustment is needed, he would then give a light force but specific adjustment to the area.
